About this event

Join us at Knob Hills for a guided flowy technical group ride. This is not a standard clinic with drills, only a session group ride. We will session features as a group and make decisions based on what the group wants.

This clinic is intended for intermediate riders that has been riding consistently at least one year and has a safe mountain bike.

We will ride the whole trail, 13 miles. We will be on trail for about 2.5 hours. Please be prepared- it's hot out there! Wheels down promptly at 9:30 AM.

Please fill out the waiver before the clinic.

Minimum age requirement is 16. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver for them.

Bike safety/check-in: 15 minutes
Duration: 3 hours

Cost: $30.

Event is for active DORBA members only. Not a member? Become one today then come back to this page to register.

Location: Park in main parking lot on Denton Hwy at the Trailhead.

What to bring:
All riders are required to wear a helmet on all DORBA events. Please also bring a safe working bike, pads (if you normally wear them), water, and snacks/gels, etc.

Do you have or know of anyone that has some riding experience and can help out? We need volunteers for leads and sweeps. Also any questions?

Meet your instructor!
Chelle Tischler: She started cycling in 2008 on a used mountain bike. The racing bug started in 2016 with a DORBA race at Rowlett Creek Preserve. She realized very quickly that this is her passion! In 2018 she attended Barnett Bicycle School in Colorado Springs to maintain her fleet, work in bike shops and teach bike maintenance. Later in 2018, she became a PMBIA Certified Instructor. She fell in love with teaching and giving back to the cycling community! She also volunteers for DORBA trail work and at Bike Gangs of FTW to wrench on bikes. She has partnered with parks and rec departments, DORBA, FWMBA, IMBA, bike clubs and Spider Mountain to put on low-cost or free mountain biking skills and maintenance clinics. She also became a personal mountain biking coach to those who have a desire for a deeper dive into XC and enduro racing. She loves racing in multiple disciplines including enduro, downhill, gravel, cyclocross, road, XC and XC marathon. Her list of titles includes 2nd in Amateur Women Southern Enduro Tour 2018, 1st USAC Texas State Marathon Championship 2019, 3rd Texas State Cyclocross Championship 2021, 3rd in Pan American Cyclocross Championship 2021, 3rd in USAC Texas State Cyclocross Championship 2021, 2nd USAC Texas State XC Championship 2022, 1st National XC Championship 2022 and 3rd Enduro National Championship 2022. Last but not least, Leadville Trail 100 mile MTB 2023 finisher!
