Description
The most well-known and most used trail in the entire metroplex. This is an old motorcross trail that was first used to cycle on by Tom Deans, a long-time DORBA trail steward. This trail runs between Rockledge Park and then west, past Twin Coves Park on the north shoreline of Lake Grapevine. 9.5 miles each way for a total of 19 glorious miles of multi-terrain, multi-skill-level trail. The east side is good for intermediate riders while the west side is considerably more technical in spots. There are several "rock gardens" on this side, a real challenge to ride through. Watch out for hikers and other bikers speeding around bends. An average of 800 bikers visit per week, so be extra careful!!

just went jogging through Twin Coves, trail is still pretty wet. more ruts than usual.
later, jason
Just checked it and its still holding a lot of moisture maybe after tomorrows warm and sunny day it will be much better.
I won't be available to check the trail, but I am sure one of the other guys will be on here to check soon. We did get a lot of rain and there was a considerable amount of standing water.
It will take a few days. Hope for sun and wind to help dry it out.
how bad is it? supposed to be sunny and no precip all week. think we'll be able to go this weekend?
If not at least it's warm enough to go out on the road if need be? I'll ride MTB's down to 35 degrees but it's got to be above 60 for me to hit the road.
