Description

Type: Single Track/Single Loop

Distance: 2.4 miles

Hours: 5AM - 11PM

This is a two mile clockwise loop for bikes, counter clockwise for foot traffic that winds around 25 acres of the park. It's fairly twisty and has numerous off camber ups and downs. The lap ends with two sustained climbs back to the trailhead. The trail is suitable for all skill levels. It is not a technical trail but can be an aerobic challenge. A large white sign at the trailhead details the IMBA rules or the trail. Be a pal and follow the rules, we all win that way. Facilities include a beautiful pavilion complex with picnic table land BBQ grills as well as restrooms. There is also the first phase of concrete trails which totals approx. 1.25 miles. Several years ago an additional Phase two of concrete tails and an overlook on the north side of the park were added. Combined, the concrete trail now totals about two miles which makes for some great riding in addition to the DORBA trail. At present, work days are on an as needed basis. If you would like to be a "friend of the trail" or DORBA "super dude" please feel free to contact me by clicking on either my or my assistants username above.

Trail school is approaching fast. Be sure to keep an eye on the forums and your email (if you've emailed the trail care email) for work days following this weekend. Will have a trimming day and at least 3 big construction days to build the berms, to continue to cut the Tree House Loop and to armor 3 spots. March will begin some of the most important and the biggest changes, and repairs to the trail. When this work is done Arbor Hills will be reborn.

I am attempting to keep us riding by listing current conditions over on MTBR. Not as nice of a solution as X was, but it has gotten some people out riding when Dorba has been off line.

Yeah I don't think the trail got hit as bad as the city thought. Another day closed wont be bad for it, just secure that dryness.

I am glad to see that after a week the tape I have placed is still up. Looks like it had been knocked down at some point but had been put back up by another trail user. Thank you to who ever you are. Please remember to keep right at this point, last downhill.

The city still has it listed as open. I'd stay off it till the weekend.

OK... My first time out since Gas line extension, mini EKG, and that little reroute by the creek.  No land speed records but did manage an 11:45  with more extensions coming that time won't mean anything soon.  I like all the work!   Two of the turns in the Gas line Extension are seriously off camber........what were we thinking?!

Stig I did see flags for a reroute around my favorite drop :(     right before you drop to the creek for the first time where the first armor is.  why the reroute there?  Too much erosion?  I love that section.......... but I trust your guys' stewardship of the trail's best interest.

Not bat at all Dean, not bad at all.

Will wait a couple weeks for riders to pack it in before any repairs to the corners are made.

I'm with you that is one of my favorite drops as well. The issue there is that we can fix the erosion but the next rain will just undo. A reroute there is the only for sure way to know that we fixed the erosion issue there. But I can say this, as you can tell from our other reroutes we've done. You'll never know.
