DFW 2008 Championship Series

The DFW Championship Series is a three mountain bike races series on local DFW area trails. DORBA has been promoting this series since 1992. The series got started to promote the following: local trails, local racing, new trails and beginner racing. Proceeds from the series benefits local trails.

Trails used for the DFW Championship Series vary form year to year. There are currently six trails that DORBA can use. They are Cedar Hill State Park, Erwin Park, Johnson Branch State Park, L.B.Houston, Rowlett Creek Preserve and Sister Grove Park.

DFW Championship Series Rules

DFW Championship Series enforce the following racing rules:

  • All NORBA rules apply (Click here for NORBA PDF Rule Book). The DFW Championship Series does not require racers to get a racing license.
  • No Sandbagging
  • No Fighting
  • No Whining

For all classes we use all of the races to determine the winners. Points are tallied based on the riders finish order at each individual race in the DFW Champship Series. Tie Break Rules

If a tie exsits, it will be broken based on the following rules: 1) number of 1st's, 2nd's, 3rd's, ... in races that count 2) head to head in all common races and 3) the results of the last (or most recent) race. We will use the tie break for final overall standings and for awards and/or prizes. Cash prizes will be combine between the places and evenly divided amoung the tied racers.

@ These Junior classses have a minimum age of 8 to race.
