IDB now easy as pie
Humble pie that is, and a big serving!
Topped off w/ some whipped arse!
Rode it last year after I had just started getting into mt. biking,
looked forward to giving it another go.
Wow, I had forgotten how long some of those rock gardens are.
I haven't made it to Sansom yet, but IMO it's the toughest trail in the area.
No way I could make all the uphill rocky sections. I did gut it out & re-try a few and made some.
The farthest out point on "E" overlooking the lake is one of the coolest spots on any trail.
I rode IDB for the first time on Friday. I did really like the trail I would like to see how some people that can ride it take some of those up hill rock climbs. Also some of the down hills. I know how I took them but it is only luck that I did not crash. Honestly I usually crash all the time but for some reason I just could not hit the ground that day. I had a blast though.
I thought it was "You think that's air your breathing?"
Keep riding it and it will get easier.
IDB is one of my favorite
speed is your friend and let the suspension do what it is supposed to do ;-)
Anyone find a brushed nickel Santa Cruz S-Man badge on the left side of the trail, possibly embedded about 5 feet into a tree at the bottom of a slot drop? Went back and had a blast riding all but the D loop going OUT to the lake, but rode D loop coming back. Good stuff, but legs were DEAD this time and stalled out about halfway up that sand pit climb stretch. First time did it fairly easily. I agree speed must be the key, but dang, I'm gonna get elbow pads I think for IDB!

The key to IDB... "There is no spoon."
